i am from
an unadorned maple mantle,
from the Belleek that sits on my shelves.
I am from windows facing west, out upon winter
weather, I am from a pallid barn that sits to honor the years gone by
I am from the Boulders resting in the water. offering a perch to a blue heron.
The smell of split wood clings to the mist, just above the surface.

I'm a high school kid just trying to get by. I hang out with friends who get my, family that loves me, and some who don't.
