Happy New Year
Is there much more to say?? I was at my cousin's house tonight and we did the unthinkable. We took two televisions and two Play Station 3's and played online games. Kind of cool but not really my thing. Anyway, happy new year.

Doubt
Amhras~Doubt

Have you seen the movie yet? If you haven't you should. It was a very deep movie. It was full of symbolism and foreshadowing. I'm a Catholic who found absolutely no issue with the movie and its message. The issue many Catholics dislike about the movie, which I won't disclose- though I'm sure you could guess, is only an underlying problem to the plot, which is really about the ability of the Church to change and some of its flaws of hierarchy. I would recommenced this movie to all of you.

Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas
Nollaig Shona Duit~Merry Christmas

It's that time of year again where we count our blessings and forget our troubles. So I thought I'd count mine:

My Grandfather is still alive
My friends are the best people in the world
My family feels like a family this year
and many others you don't need to know about

Also since we are 10 miles from Dublin, I thought I'd share with you a Gaelic Christmas. We light a candle and place it in the window in case Mary and Joseph are out there looking for a place to stay. So that there is food for the travelers, a loaf of bread is made and a glass of milk left out. Holly wreaths started in Ireland, too.

Enjoy the music courtesy of June and The King. I wanted Let it Be Christmas by Alan Jackson but can't have everything.

Happy Holidays
Beannachtai na Feile~Happy Holidays

I just wanted to wish all my viewers a Happy Hanukkahs, Merry Christmas, or a Happy Kwanzaa. And may all of us have a wonderful new year full of surprises and blessings. May all religions see the maturity that goes along with being okay with a "Christmas Tree" not a "Holiday Tree" and a "National Nativity". May the US Government also recognize other holiday celebrations during this time of year. Again Happy Holidays to all us.

Yes Veronica, There is a Santa
Dadaidh na Nallaig~Santa Claus

I'm watching one of my favorite news shows and there interviewing a woman who runs an elephant orphanage in Kenya. Its wonderful to see that there are people out there who are really trying to cope with the darkness of this world. That darkness was seen this week when Golden Sachs spent $10.93 billion on yearly bonuses. That's about 5o% less than last year and 7 top executives refused bonuses. How wonderful right? Wrong. If you remember, Golden Sachs received $10 billion dollars in bailout money this year. For those of us who are mathematically inept, that comes to $-93,000 left of their bailout. But yes Veronica, there is a Santa Claus. He lives in breathes in all that is good in the world, like my mothers friend who works for a nonprofit charity, and the woman at the beginning of this story. I don't have the effort of finding distances anymore so I'm going to translate Gaelic for you all.

Sacremento~5012

Felt the urge to post. I'm not quite sure what about yet. I'm watching CSI reruns currently. Its the double confession, single case with Dakota Fanning in it. It's a good episode, one of those 'she couldn't do it shes too small, oh wait yes she can' episodes. currently I'm sitting on the couch with my overweight dog half on top of me (hey its cold here) and she's snoring. I kid you not. It's nothing special but it is funny. The show I was supposed to go to today got postponed so I don't know what to do today (friends reading this, lets make plans you know my number). My uncle got to Afghanistan safely last week. Have you ever noticed that most shows end in December and make you wait a month for the new seasons to start. Currently most of my shows have ended thier seasons, and the one thaat hasn't has three episodes left for good, unfortunatley. Then I must wait for my other shows ot begin. Well until I write again.

I'll Be Home for Christmas
San Joaquin~ 5084

You can count on that. My Christmas Break officially started today! Unfortunately, some people just can't accept this holiday season (I know at least one person who if the had it their way would make it so Christmas was only one day) as the secular holiday it has unfortunately become. "We get complaints from across the nation about the ongoing war against Christmas, and really the ongoing war against Christians who celebrate Christmas," says Brian Rooney. People even go as far as to punish and steal/cheat people and charities out of money. The US Constitution allows us the freedom of religion and of speech ,but apparently that means that we should not speak our minds or express our holidays.

I've Got Love to Keep Me Warm
Dublin~0

Well that's all that's left to keep warm with. The Big 3 have been denied loans by the Senate, there was a $50 billion fraud on Wall Street, and Main street on the east coast has so many icy trees in the way that at least a million people will not have power this weekend. This country is on the verge of collapse. If it does, then what happens to all of us? We can't legally leave the country so we're sitting ducks. Even if we could get out, there's not a chance we would live the same lives. This country should be more like Nebraska. In Nebraska there is a non-partisan one house government. It's basically an oligarchy by the people.

Have you heard of the silly puzzle called SuPuzzle? It is an impossible brain twister. Oh, it's not impossible you just have to cheat. you can fold the corner, right click when its on the computer, or use a torus, which isn't technically cheating. I'm blabbering I know. I'll leave you with this thought, Are you in control of this (American) government "of the people, for the people, by the people"? More like "of the person, for the populous, by the lobbist. Yeah that sounds better.

Happy Christmas
NYC~3179

It's nice to be home after a busy weekend like this one. I had to get two Christmas Trees, oh I mean "Holiday Trees", heaven forbid I offend Hanukkah or Kwanzaa celebrants. Getting two days off a year for Judaism and none for Christianity or Islam (not to not include other religions but those are the major three in this country). "But Christians get two weeks for Christmas". One Christmas is a NATIONAL HOLIDAY, that means that entire country gets the holiday off. The two weeks is the governments decision to break up the school year. and Easter is on a Sunday so that's kind of a given. Now here we are back where we started Jews 2 other 0.

Thank You for the Music
Cork~136

So America is in a 'recession' . Wow I'm sure glad the feds decided that a year into this issue, it would be nice to inform us that this issue had a name. I heard a man on the news say FDR was a terrible person. I don't believe that. He said that the government should have given tax cuts to the already wealthy (and greedy) entrepreneurs, so that they could prosper. Bull S***! They tried that and the greedy persons who dug the hole started filling it in. It just goes back to where good has gone? Oh and FDR was one of the best Presidents of the United States ever.

Toe Each His Own.
Killarney ~ 162

The information above is the distance from said city to Dublin in miles. Today I had toe surgery. It was minor, but it was a big accomplishment for me. It was the first time I ever had Novocaine. Now I can't do anything today, and tomorrow I have to go to school (there wasn't any today) hopefully on crutches.

In other news, I finished my dreaded English project, now I have to finish my History project, yay?
