Hello, all. I have been away from this blog for quite some time. I have finished my summer reading requirements for English, I just have to write some of the responses, now. I also have to read a book for AP US history.

Today while eating dinner at a restaurant, I took a bite of my pork chop and there was a piece of glass in it. I don't know how it got there, but I thank God that I didn't swallow. The restaurant took my dinner off the check, which was nice. And I mean the entire dinner, appetizer, main course, and dessert. They also offered to give me another meal; if it hadn't been the last bite of the dinner I might have taken them up on their offer.



School is out, and I have had a splendid time enjoying my summer. I surprised myself by starting my summer reading early. To date I have finished 1 of 5 books I need to read this summer. Tomorrow I plan to write the responses on the book.
The book in question is Slaughterhouse-Five. This splendid book follows a man who has "come unstuck in time." It begins in the war and it ends in the war; the middle just isn't always the war. The novel shows random yet key events in the mans life. These include his time spent in a zoo on the planet Tralfamadore, his death, near-death experiences, marriage, and of course the prisoner of war camp he is placed into. I would say more, but I know some of my friends who read this may read the book and I don't want to spoil anything.



For a few years now, it seems that summer brings on depression for me. Perhaps it's RSAD. Before this summer, however, I didn't have friends who cared, a place to express my feelings, and I've matured. I don't have anything else to say right now. Maybe later.



)and yes, I think the parentheses this way are much cooler( It's 10:45ish right now and I still haven't gotten my lazy self out of bed )besides to get my laptop from its resting place a few feet oaway(. I haven't had the opportunity to post in a while, the update is as follows: I was exempt from two of six finals this year, which is one more than last year so I'm happy. I can never seem to get exempt from English, I'll try harder next year. I failed my Algebra II final, but it's okay because I really didn't do well, and I don't like math. My dog had to get staples two days ago, we don't know what happened, besides the whole gash in her side thing. I re-aranged my room )well I have to finish still }why am I still in bed?{) yeasterday and I'm happy with it. Friday will be the first time I have seen my friends since school got out last Wednesday.
