Wishing on a Sunny Day
It's been a great week here in (censored). Besides Monday and Tuesday, the week has been in the 70's-80's. Today we hit 90! It's nice to enjoy the warm weather after the cold spell we've been having.

My frustration grew this week when my father said that it would be difficult for me to go to a friend's house to work on an assignment because he wanted to watch the local parade. How selfish of him. I understand that he only has me every so often, but when I'm at his house my life doesn't freeze. I can't tell my teacher that I need an extension because I'm at my dad's this weekend. Also, I'm at his house for Memorial Day, which means that I'll be going to another town's parade. Some of my friends will be there, and I hope he lets me hang out with them. I don't even like parades. I don't see the glory in watching the same floats go down the street passing out candy. We should be honoring people who gave up their lives to keep our civil liberties alive. If you couldn't tell, I'm in a bad mood.
