i am from
an unadorned maple mantle,
from the Belleek that sits on my shelves.
I am from windows facing west, out upon winter
weather, I am from a pallid barn that sits to honor the years gone by
I am from the Boulders resting in the water. offering a perch to a blue heron.
The smell of split wood clings to the mist, just above the surface.

No not the Gregorian Calendar's new year, but the Roman Catholic Calendar's new year. With this new year comes a new blog. Call me a freak for celebrating this day, but in my life, I'll take a blessing whenever it comes, however it comes, wherever it comes. No more weather, I'll think of something though, don't you worry.
