i am from
an unadorned maple mantle,
from the Belleek that sits on my shelves.
I am from windows facing west, out upon winter
weather, I am from a pallid barn that sits to honor the years gone by
I am from the Boulders resting in the water. offering a perch to a blue heron.
The smell of split wood clings to the mist, just above the surface.

I have been waiting for today for a week. Today's the day that my grandfather's test results for his tumor arrive. He has a soft tissue cancer in his leg. Due to the position of the tumor his leg has to be amputated above the knee. He needs your prayers really badly. I'll be back later with another update.
